Announcements
- First off, AC has completed and has been processed. AC is now open for August. August's AC Post can be found here. Thank you to everyone who completed AC!
- Applications will reopen September 1st - September 7th. There are currently 12 slots open for new players. Current players are welcome to apply for a second character at any point during this applications period.
- For reference, casts nearing cap are: DC Comics (5/6), Final Fantasy XV (4/6), Homestuck (4/6), Idolish7 (4/6), Kingdom Hearts (5/6), My Hero Academia (4/6), and Persona 5 (4/6).
- As outlined in the FAQ, we aren't writing up new TDMs for each application round now that the number of application slots is small. However, we're always open to writing one up if players would like us to! We've had a few requests for a new TDM, so we'll be writing one up for August 18th, 9 PM EST. We hope that will give everyone plenty of time to thread together and bounce their characters off of some others!
- The upcoming event will involve sign-ups this month, so please keep your eyes peeled for the OOC post later this month for more info!
Quests
- Because the Quest Forum Post has been starting to load slowly for some people due to the number of comments on it, we've posted a clean Quest Forum Post here. The old one is linked on that post. This is only an OOC change. ICly, the Quest Forum Post is the same as ever.
Color Changes/Rewards
- Quests for August are now up! The OOC breakdown of said quests can be found below, as with last month. All quests have been posted ICly to the Quest Forum Post.
- The Quest Reporting comment can be found here. As ever, please respond to that comment once the quest itself has been completed. When reporting the quest, please state what quest it is in the subject line; we've realized that that helps us a lot with keeping track over the past few months!
- Please be aware that Quests still must be reported by the end of the month; this is because we use what quests are completed to keep track of what colors are restored for the next month!
This month’s color changes are as follows (color changes can be tracked at the Color/Game Timeline):
Color Gains:
- All new characters have now had their text color restored on the forum, as well as the color of the outside of their home restored. Please be aware that it will be some shade of blue, red, or yellow depending on which district they are living in.
- Additionally, the houses of Dave and John and Fushimi, Guren, Akira and Yata have now had the outside turn purple. The houses of Okuyasu and Jake and Izuku, Shouto, Sorey and Mikleo have turned green, and the house of Hunk and Keith has turned orange. Huh! These color changes are reflected on the housing document as well.
- Because all of the quests were completed this past month, characters may notice that the color of the moon. For good this time, not just because of the werewolves! Not that we'd blame anyone for being wary of it.
- Please also see this comment below to see what color changes have occurred thanks to your characters' Color Logs! This month, the theme was CR webs -- at least one of the three characters had a thread with one of the others on their Color Log for each group for the month of July! Please note that the food that's been restored has indeed been restored to that mixed up color of each of their hexcodes. So yes, milk is now purple. They taste like normal, though!
- Additionally, each character will each get a small crate of the food they restored color to -- think about the size of an antique milk delivery box (because that's exactly what it's going to show up in). That means that there's suddenly going to be a lot of sage in the Town, yes.
Color Losses:
- From deaths: Pumpkins, Spam, Lemons, Shell Pasta (Please be aware that these foods lost color last month, but we are putting them here so that everyone's aware!)
- From drops: Pink Peppercorns, Salmon, heads of hammers, crushed red pepper, regular pepper, garter snakes
If there are any questions, please ask them here, so that we don’t miss any. Thank you, everyone!

QUEST 20
Requirements: Any two colors.
This is one of those quests that seems quite clear from the get go, but there are a few things to note here... it doesn't have to be positive feelings, for one! If you tell your worst enemy that you earnestly and truly hate his guts? That'll be a pass. If you tell your fiery rival just how much punching her in the face means to you? Another pass! Feel free to be creative, and just remember that they have to be strong feelings.
Ways to succeed: Confess some of those strong feelings. Be honest. Tell people what you really think of them! Be brave!
Ways to fail: You can't lie about it, okay, the Town will know. Lukewarm feelings like "I like you as an acquaintance" are also just not going to cut it, but if in doubt, feel free to submit the quest either way!

QUEST 21
Requirements: At least two of any color.
What the hell is the Pit...? Well, characters will have no idea until they decide to take on the quest. But once they do, if they step into the woods with their quest compatriots (at least another person, but it can be done with more than that!), they will...well. Fall into the Pit.
It's like a fighting ring (and a literal pit, yes), and the characters will find themselves stripped of weaponry and left to stand right there in the middle of that pit. Magic's still fine, of course, but ultimately, the purpose is clear -- multiple people walk in, one person walks out as Champion.
Beat up your friends until they're unconscious! Destroy the competition! Become Champion! Then the fairies and other creatures watching you from the seating area will let you all go, battered and bruised and successful.
As a note, please be sure to plot out with your fellow players how the fights are going to go down, and be fair as to who will win or lose! If you're stuck or can't decide, feel free to come to us and we'll flip a coin for you.
Ways to succeed: You fight! You defeat the competition! You knock them all unconscious (or kill them, if you really want to go that gruesome, but goodness). Then you all get to go home and ice your wounds.
Ways to fail: You can't really fail this one. Either you stay in the Pit forever, or you fight. Take your pick. No faking it either; they won't let you go until you really knock everyone else unconscious.

QUEST 22
Requirements: 1 yellow.
It's much like is written on the tin. Just build a boat. The fancier the boat, the fancier the reward, presumably, but even building a raft will work for the purposes of the quest. Maybe try building it in the harbor, that'll help.
And then take it for a test spin! Please note that the harbor will be helping out with this test spin with a variety of situations, such as:
a) Sending a sudden, localized storm only over your boat to see how it holds up
b) Sending sea monsters such as mutated sharks, mutated squid monsters or various creatures that will try to pull it apart and or drag you overboard
c) Very, very large waves
d) and similar things! Feel free to be creative and/or PM us if you'd like a customized scenario!
(Even for the Town, though, this is kind of a weird one. Maybe there's a reason...?)
Ways to succeed: Build a functional boat! So long as it floats, it'll probably count! Take it out for a spin and survive (the boat needs to survive too).
Ways to fail: If you don't do that, then you're probably on the wrong quest. Please note that just fixing the boat houses doesn't count for this one.

QUEST 23
Requirements: Additional to yourself: 1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow.
This one's relatively light-hearted, at least, which is good because the rest sure are weird this month, aren't they? Anyway, make some flower crowns, and then give them to people who are "worthy". That can be literally anyone, so long as your character personally thinks they're worthy. Easy!
Of course, one flower crown has to go to someone of each color, so make sure to give them to one of each color when you're bestowing them upon people!
Ways to succeed: Make three flower crowns. Give them to people, 1 per color. Success!
Ways to fail: You can't give them to two blues, or three reds. It's got to be one of each color! Also, they do have to be flower crowns, so while they don't have to be well-made, they should at least be somewhat crown-like.
