How's My Driving?
Hello everyone, and welcome to September's HMD!
This is a safe space for constructive criticism, encouragement and feedback. Please post your character's name, canon and journal, as well as anything that you feel may be useful for your fellow players to know (such as things you would like to improve on or are currently working on!). Awash's HMDs are not mandatory, but we hope everyone will feel comfortable using it to work on things together!

i really enjoy the structure of the quests, on the other hand! they're very neat and easy to get involved with. i also appreciate how responsive you guys are with requests for information and player plots.

He's still a pretty new muse for me and I'm honestly not sure if I'm getting him right still. (And let's not even get started on Fate/ lore in general.) Am I perhaps overdoing/underplaying certain important facets of his character? Is he too dramatic? Too cheerful? Maybe he's not enough of a downer? Lay it all on me! I'd be thrilled to improve while I'm still at early game and don't need to retcon a lot of stuff.

i just picked up sierra so i’m still feeling out her voice! i realize that my canons are both pretty obscure, but don’t feel afraid to crit me (in fact, please do) if i’ve been inconsistent with characterization or unclear about things, or if there’s anything else!

That said, none of the in game logs will have a set of prompts like the TDM does; we don't want to constrain people to a particular set of prompts when they have the entire game to work with once they're in the game. We definitely will try to make sure to give more information in the OOC outline of the events, though, to try to help make sure that there are enough hooks and details to work with!
And please keep us posted on if that ends up working for you or not with the upcoming events; the feedback helps let us know how we're doing with fixing the weak points in the game!

I do agree though: you guys are doing an absolutely fantastic job setting up quests and things to get us going every month. Please keep up the good work, and remember to take care of yourselves!

We don't have any intentions of changing the ic log format at this point -- in part because the flexibility of the logs themselves was always one of our intentions from the very beginning of the game, and in part because we've been really impressed with how everyone in the game has taken the open-ended nature of the events and the setting and run with them, creating their own twist on things and finding new ways to impact the game at large. That was one of our biggest hopes for the game, and everyone has gone even above and beyond that in Awash's runtime.
That said, we can definitely see where you're coming from with making sure there are more hooks! So one thing we'd like to do in the future is try to create more hooks within the OOC plot info posts, to make sure everyone has a lot of ideas going into the events and a much better idea of the variety of ways they can be approached. We're hoping that helps with keeping the events fresh and open-ended, while still helping players find a way to get involved if they're not sure how to approach it at first!
We hope that makes sense, and please let us know if it ends up working or not working at all for you with the next events; we'd definitely like to make Awash the best game we possibly can for everyone, and it's feedback like this that helps us do it! So thanks again for letting us know, and thank you as well for the well wishes -- we're glad you've been enjoying the game! ♥
