Then they will, unfortunately, be a tree for the rest of forever! Which... would be a pretty gruesome fate.

(If a character is lost in the woods forever as a tree, however, it is also possible for them to undergo a "death" as per the Town's rules and return to the Town, after suffering the consequences of dying, so that they're not actually stuck out there forever.)
