Defense Force Update & Training sign ups?
Hello all!! It's me again, this time with a very short update because Guren has gone so hard it's killing me, god. ICly, there would have been a defense force meeting before everyone went to the castle to discuss the past events, the mirrors, and how they need to rely on each other even if Guren disappears (thanks to his canon update). This was a handwaveable thing, but if your character wanted to bring up anything important, list it below for any discussion! Defense force gdoc listing all members and the important links is here, new squad assignments are here now and below I'll have a comment if you want to sign your character (defense force member not required!!) for a training team up.
What this team up means is that you'll be paired off (strictly RNG this time) with another character and expected to teach/learn from one another. You can use that for sparring, but sparring isn't the only way. Basically it's a CR match up! People mentioned they'd be interested if it was every other month, so I'll drop it here, but I will say that I'll only do the RNG assignments if there are at least 8 sign ups for a little variety for you guys! I hope that's okay.
As always, let me know if there are any questions! And as an ooc note for Guren, I'll be dropping a lot of his network post threads due to that same burn out, so this is kind of like a super slowatus for me. Sorry!!

Information: sierra is good at fighting… she can use magic but she’s also surprisingly good at hand-to-hand combat because she’s a vampire with the standard super strength/speed… her out of combat failure is that she absolutely sucks at teamwork and working together and all that good friendship stuff because she’s mean.

Information: He's good at swordplay, hunting, and archery, though he tends to rely on his magical abilities (read: homing sound waves) for the latter. He knows a few basic survival skills for hanging out in the wilderness/long term travel but can be kind of useless beyond that, so stuff like first aid, magic, and being less of a negative nancy is going to be very helpful for him!!

Information: Jion is quite good at emergency first aid and keeping relatively calm in high-stress situations, and is serviceable (but not great) at both handling guns and close quarters combat. Very little experience using weapons outside of guns and knives, but will try his hardest to learn! Otherwise, he’s pretty decent at sewing, and has some knowledge of general survival skills. Useless at magic, awful at cooking, and kind of bad at explaining things. :(

Information: He's skilled with swords and spears. He can use other weapons decently but he doesn't have any affinity for them. In general he works well with others, but he's always high energy and ready to do anything ever. If you hang out with him for long enough, he'll start talking about how great sardines are. A pretty decent teacher, as a prinny instructor it's his job.
He doesn't know much about being domestic because he has a steward to take care of that at home. Because he lives with Minato, he's started to learn how to clean and can do the very basics of cooking. He doesn't know first aid, magic or healing, but he could potentially learn.

Information: Phos is a well-rounded fighter in terms of how they can handle wielding their alloy as a weapon and shield ( + being exceptionally skilled at swordfighting ), and they also have a great deal of creativity when it comes to strategy and thinking on their feet. On the other hand, they're pretty impulsive, not always aware of their surroundings, and tend to fail to see the big picture of things. They don't consider much of the risk or consequences of their strategies, which tend to be based on emotion rather than logic.

Information: Beka is good at sparring both barehanded and with a lead-cored baton. She's very shy about talking to people, so she's not going to volunteer to teach, but if she sees them doing stuff wrong she'll correct them. She also has a scent hound and knows how to conduct a search.
