defense force things!

Hello everyone! Now that my work week is over I can make this post about the proposed defense force! Guren made a post about it here since a handful of characters were interested in it at the town hall meeting.

OOCly, I mostly want it to be a chance for people to get more CR and have more ways to thread! Patrols were something that were mentioned by more than one character, so Guren will gladly assign people for those. So, I'll assume Guren is assigning those, but if you'd like your character to be on a group with any specific other character(s), then let me know here! New people showing up will ICly delay this announcement, anyway, so you have plenty of time to let me know.

Also, I'd love to hear any ideas about what else we can do with this. I could put up a post on Guren's journal of characters who signed up, if there's interest in keeping track of that & what characters on the force actually do (like a bullet list, maybe patrol groups listed, any rankings or additional leaders per section, etc), and I was also thinking that maybe monthly or bi-monthly meetings might be a good idea for everyone to ICly discuss how to handle events that keep happening as they learn more. Otherwise, I'll keep throwing ideas out there and seeing what sticks and going off of IC suggestions. The idea is to be organized, efficient, but still what the majority wants, so he'll be relying on input, but a lack of input means he'll take initiative and make suggestions or do things he thinks is right. That's his main role of stepping up!

Nyx will be commenting on the forum as well, but I wanted to officially throw in his sign up oocly. He's not too keen at being under command again atm, considering his Captain of ten years was a filthy traitor who Nyx wants to punch in the face with his kukri, but he's certainly not stepping up to oppose Guren for the role. No but hell, give Nyx a section to take care of and possibly even people to help direct because he's very good at it.

I think if we want more opportunities for CR, maybe the patrol groups can be randomized every so often? If that isn't too much work for you!

Meetings would be good! Opinion-wise, I'm leaning toward bi-monthly just so there's more for them to bring up at each one.

I'd have a blast randomizing patrols every so often if everyone else would be up for it! Either every second or every fourth month? I'm not sure which would be too little or too much.

But yeah, I was leaning towards bi-monthly for that same reason! I'll see if anyone else has thoughts on that.

I think everyone can probably help out with patrols! If Guren thinks of more tasks for them tho then it'll be more specialized.

How do you feel about bi-monthly meetings and switching up patrol groups then too?

I AM LATE TO THE PARTY BUT NANJO WOULD super be into the defense force.

I don't have much to contribute yet but I think since Mitsuru is gone, Nanjo will try to keep the town meetings active so they could definatly talk about the Defence force next time there is one
