Firstly: welcome to the game! Kaoru's sort of attached herself to Rin as a friend and has more or less decided on her own to treat him like a brother (she only has a sister in canon so this is exciting for her) so definitely looking forward to these two meeting! Kaoru's just aggressively friendly and her backstory shares an eerie sort of parallel to Rin's though I'm not sure either of them realize it yet, lol.

Yes good the aggressively friendly types tend to draw Yuki's shier side out. Bonus points that Rin made a friend.
