Mod Post. 3/3/19
Hello everyone, and welcome to March's monthly mod post, and happy anniversary! Please be sure to read all of this post -- we've got a few different things in store for this month
Mechanics
If there are any questions, please ask them here, so that we don’t miss any. Thank you, everyone!
Mechanics
Plot
- First off, AC has completed and has been processed. AC is now open for March. March's AC Post can be found here.
- Characters removed via AC this month:
- Nyx Ulric (sirnyxalot)
Momose (rerevale)
Tsunayoshi Sawada (goeshyper)- Applications are currently open. There are 24 slots for incoming new players. They will close March 7th, 9 PM EST. Current players can submit an app for a second character at any time during this period, regardless of the player cap.
- We're currently working on setting up a page for player-run character resources (such as the Notice Board and the Defense Force); when that has been properly set up, we'll announce it. We hope that it will serve as a good place to gather helpful information for all of the players in the game that is currently being handled by other players. If there are any suggestions or requests on how you would like to see that laid out, please don't hesitate to let us know!
Quests
- Due to the efforts of a group of characters in the game, the forest seems to have been...stalled. It hasn't been pushed back, not completely, but it doesn't seem to be advancing further. For now, it will remain there, with the same side-effects as it had last month if too much time is spent near it.
- As ever in intro months, this month's plot will come in two parts -- there will be a smaller event to go along with the intro log, and then a more full-fledged event at the end of the month.
Color Changes/Rewards
- Quests for March are now up! The OOC breakdown of said quests can be found below, as with last month. All quests have been posted ICly to the Quest Forum Post. Only quests for this month can be turned in for a reward.
- The Quest Reporting comment can be found here. As ever, please respond to that comment once the quest itself has been completed. When reporting the quest, please state what quest it is in the subject line; we've realized that that helps us a lot with keeping track over the past few months!
- Please be aware that Quests must be reported by the end of the month; this is because we use what quests are completed to keep track of what colors are restored for the next month!
This month’s color changes are as follows (color changes can be tracked at the Color Timeline):
Color Gains:
- For completing all of the quests last month, characters have restored the color of sea foam. Hmm... maybe the next target for colors is the harbor and ocean beyond?
- If your character has a color log thread from the month of February, please go here to see what your character restored!
Color Losses:
- From drops: Ketchup, Brussel sprouts, arrow shafts, chickens, church altar, satyr, brandy, nutmeg, chestnuts, spiders, black chickens, acorns, library shelves, lobsters, butterflies
If there are any questions, please ask them here, so that we don’t miss any. Thank you, everyone!

QUESTIONS
QUEST 48
Requirements: 1 red.
New experiences are good for everyone! They help broaden your horizons -- and in this case, they'll help you complete this quest. Please note that this only has to be a new experience for one of the two people participating: it's possible for a character to be very used to sparring, for instance, share that with someone who's never done it before and still succeed!
But hey, maybe you'll get bonus points if it's a totally new experience for both of you.
Ways to succeed: Introduce a totally new experience to someone else, so long as a red is involved in some way. "Experience" is very broad, and can be practically anything -- so feel free to be creative!
Ways to fail: It does have to be a totally new experience. Something that was kind of sort of tried out once, even if only briefly, doesn't count!
Limit: 3 per character

QUEST 49
Requirements: 1 blue.
Well, looks like the Town is working its magic again, because it seems like if you feel like taking on this quest? You'll suddenly have the ability to swap bodies with someone else with just a touch. You don't even need (IC) permission to do it, either; so long as one character wants to, the swap can happen.
And thus, with a touch, you'll be in that person's body instead, and they will be in yours; you'll only have access to their powers (but probably none of their control), so be careful, okay? Try not to burn the Town down.
The effects can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days; feel free to go with what will be the most fun to play out! Either way, it's definitely a bit awkward to have to deal with someone else's body for that long, isn't it?
Ways to succeed: Take on the quest, decide to swap bodies with someone, and make it happen. Try not to die from how awkward it actually turns out to be.
Ways to fail: You really can't fail this one unless a blue isn't involved in the quest, honestly.
Limit: 3 per character

QUEST 50
Requirements: any two colors.
Well.
Well... it's another straightforward quest, but it's also another quest that seems... more than a little shady.
Oh well.
You're stuck with it now if you want to do it. Time to chuck your friend into the harbor like it's a tea party.
Ways to succeed: Throw someone into that cold, still-colorless water in the harbor. Go on, do it. It'll be great.
Ways to fail: The only way to fail is to not make the attempt, really!
Limit: None

QUEST 51
Requirements: any colors.
This one, on the other hand, is a bit vague, isn't it? What exactly constitutes "remembering" is very vague and will remain that way. After all, that will vary from character to character. Maybe it's a small personal shrine to a character who has gone. Maybe it's writing a letter that will never be sent.
Either way, even if it's intensely personal, it does have to be shared with someone else in the Town to pass the quest.
Ways to succeed: Remember a dropped character in whatever way fits your character best -- so long as it's shared with someone else, and so long as it's sincere, it'll be fine!
Ways to fail: Remembering someone who's still around isn't going to work, mind you. They do have to be gone.
Limit: 1 per character
