i'm so glad to see henry........... awakening is one of my favorite games ever and i think dextera will do well with him considering he eats bones/flesh/hearts in his canon. weird gory murderboys... unite?!

I just put together that Dextera is from Baroque aka that bizarre roguelike I played years ago that I loved and nobody else has heard of?? What are the odds god DAMN

also points for playing from one of the weirdest canons I'm actually familiar with that I've encountered thus far

i’m not surprised when people have heard of baroque but i am surprised when people say they enjoyed it... thank you for this blessing... it’s a mess of a game that i wouldn’t ever actually recommend but i love it so dearly.

yeah I will admit I never actually finished it because I'm shit awful at roguelikes (plus it was years ago, I played it when the Wii remake first came out) so I'm effectively canonblind as far as the lore is concerned but it's got that dedicated Silent Hill kind of atmosphere that I adore

dang now I want to revisit it... I feel like I'm rediscovering a lost treasure

i don't blame you because it's a hard and impossibly confusing game to play without a guide.......... but yes the atmosphere i think is what captivated me so much!

there are some really excellent walkthroughs out there nowadays if you ever want to play it again but i also feel like stumbling through like an idiot is part of the charm

I.................... have neither the game nor the Wii console anymore and never got it for PS2 so I'll have to resort to Let's Plays, are there any you can recommend?

ah yes i forgot it is 2018 and the wii is an Old Console these days.......

there are unfortunately not really any coherent or finished let's plays! but there are cutscenes and that's almost good enough
