Hello everyone, and welcome to June's monthly mod post! Strap on in for some info for the upcoming month!

Mechanics
Announcement
- First off, AC has completed and has been processed. AC is now open for June. June's AC Post can be found here. Thank you to everyone who completed AC!
- Applications will open again July 1st, 9 PM EST, and there will be no reserves period. We will continue to accept applications until we have hit the game cap of 80 players -- currently, we have 13 slots for new players. They will remain open until July 7th, 9 PM EST. Current players are welcome to apply for a second character at any point during that applications period.
- Punishments and rewards for the event will be given out via responses to those comments on the event post following this mod post! Please be aware that any of them that are "effects" will last for one week, but item rewards can be kept permanently. For items not in the character's home, but scattered elsewhere, they will receive a note telling them where the items are so they can fetch them. We hope you all enjoy them!
We wanted to put this in its own section, because we just wanted to make sure that everyone was on the same page with some game mechanics we've noticed have been getting mixed up!Quests
- For new characters, their text color has only gotten color restored as of today. Before today, their text was black.
- All characters have color; their clothing, their features, their skin etc are all perfectly fine and intact!
- All characters' belongings have color as well, including any pets they may have brought in with them.
- For other things that have color, please see the Color Timeline.
As color is such a large and important aspect of the game, we just wanted to make sure that everyone was on the same page with the current setting, and we're sorry that it was unclear!
Color Changes
- Quests for June are now up! The OOC breakdown of said quests can be found below, as with last month. All quests have been posted ICly to the Quest Forum Post.
- The Quest Reporting comment can be found here. As ever, please respond to that comment once the quest itself has been completed. When reporting the quest, please state what quest it is in the subject line; we've realized that that helps us a lot with keeping track over the past few months!
- Please be aware that Quests still must be reported by the end of the month; this is because we use what quests are completed to keep track of what colors are restored for the next month!
This month’s color changes are as follows (color changes can be tracked at the Color/Game Timeline):
Color Gains:
- Through their bonds with other characters, characters have restored new colors this month! Characters who have at least one thread with another character from the month of May on their Color Log may choose one animal to restore color to. Please be aware that that animal will have their color restored in the shade of the colors of the characters involved in the thread combined together: red, blue, yellow, green, orange or purple, for example. Having purple sheep running around the woods may very well become a thing. It is perfectly fine for the same animal to be chosen by multiple players; there will simply be animals of those colors all running around the woods. Please respond here with those choices.
- New characters have had their text colors and house colors restored to their proper colors. Characters who lost those colors in the shadow event have still not had them restored.
- The following items on this list have had their colors restored via last month's quests; we just wanted to put them in a neat list for everyone.
- Because every quest was completed last month, the Town has had a very special thing restored -- characters have restored the color of clouds. They have restored the color of clouds for all possible weather, so they will, at least, always be able to see those, even though the sky still does not generally have color.
- As the wish quest was the most completed quest with a whopping 32 out of 84 of wishes reported granted, every character has received a small wish. This comes in the form of a small coin which they will find by their bed; they will know instinctively that if they toss the coin into the well and make a small wish, it will come true.
Small wishes can be anything from an item from home (of a reasonable size!) they're missing to good health for some of their CR (which will last for a certain period of time) to some sort of food or something along those lines. Feel free to be creative with it! If characters wish for something Too Large, however, they will get either something a little off from that, or nothing at all. Greed never pays in fairy tales, you know!
Please report those wishes here, so we can let you know if the wish was approved by the well or if the characters are receiving something different. There is no time limit on a character using the coin to make a wish.
Color Losses:
- Because Henry has returned home, and he was the character who restored the color of blood, something a little...strange has happened. The color of blood has naturally lost its restoration, but that applies also to the pets and animals the characters have brought from home...and the characters themselves. For a week following this mod post, the characters' blood in Awash will have no color; if they prick themselves (or are stabbed), they will see that their blood is the same, washed out lack of color as everything else. That's unsettling! Otherwise, they feel fine, however (unless they were actually stabbed). It will revert back to normal in a week, but that sure was strange, wasn't it...
If there are any questions, please ask them here, so that we don’t miss any. Thank you, everyone!

More specific to Keigo, if in the moment he tells the story, he really thinks he's sharing his most painful memory and not lying, but he chooses the wrong memory because so many things in his life are painful to him, would that count as failing the quest?

Would it be too big of a wish to ask for a neverending can of Ebony coffee for Ignis. Like...a singular can, but it just never runs out when you drink out of it. Somehow.

The second is more of a general one and not 100% related to all of this, but after all that has happened, Kei is going to take the time to look into the town hall and see if there are hidden passages or loose boards before the next meeting that lead to something else; would he find anything? He would look into this probably next week when the effects of the curses stop.
Thank you! ♥

and if he words it exactly as vaguely as that, will guren get struck with any narcolepsyalternatively, if he generically wished for "some bones [from home]," approximately how many could he receive...

Oh, and I just got a list of items for Shiho to use her psychometry on, so if you could let me know what she’d see (or even if she’d be able to see anything) with these?
- leaves from the minotaur (what is the biology of these leaves, biology of the Minotaur)
- mysterious key from the ogres/trolls (is the key used for anything? Does it unlock something and if so what does it unlock? Who made it? Did anyone own it before the ogres/trolls?)
- amulet from the mirrors (what is it used for? Who made it? Did it have any owners before someone found it?)
- pumpkin seeds from killer vegetables (biology of the killer vegetables, what the seeds will grow and whether those veggies will end up killer too...?)
Thank you as always!
And because I just thought of another question: would it be possible for Shiho to find the invisible sheep using psychometry?

WISHES
The mods will respond and let you know what they have received in return! Please be aware that some wishes may go awry, especially if what the characters wish for is too large.
There is no time limit on making a wish, but please use this toplevel to make those wishes, even if it's a few months down the road!

Quest 11
Requirements: Any 2 colors.
This one is relatively straightforward, though the characters may not like that it is. There are no loopholes here. The quest wants you to share your absolutely most painful memory with someone else, and anything less just won't count.
Ways to succeed: Share the entirety of their most painful memory with someone else, doesn't matter what color! By "most painful memory", we mean the memory most painful to the character in question, not what seems most painful to someone else, necessarily.
Ways to fail: If it isn't the entirety of their most painful memory, they'll fail. If they cheat and lie and use a different memory, they'll fail. Any lying at all, and they'll fail. It has to be their most painful memory, and that's the only way to succeed. If the other character already knows their painful memory, they will fail as well. It has to be brand new to them. Story time!

Quest 12
Requirements: 1 yellow.
Well. There are invisible sheep in the woods. Take our word for it. And they are entirely invisible, from their cute little hooves to their presumably cute ears. Shear a couple of those sheep, and you'll be golden.
Ways to succeed: Find the invisible sheep, and shear them. This is "sheep" as in "plural sheep", so characters have to find and sheer 2+ sheep to succeed. Thankfully, the sheep can be found by smell, or by following their footprints in the undergrowth, but it's not going to be easy.
Bring back the wool, and the characters will succeed! (Yes, the wool is invisible too.)
Ways to fail: One sheep just isn't going to cut it. It has to be more than one to succeed. Otherwise, wandering the woods for hours and never finding an invisible sheep is probably incredibly likely, sorry.

Quest 13
Requirements: 1 red.
Were you afraid of the bogeyman as a child? The bogeyman is lurking in the forest as well, waiting for anyone who isn't prepared so it can eat them right up. And how does it attack its victims...? By pretending to be their worst fears, of course. It will appear to each character as a manifestation of one of the things they fear the most, to try to lull them into a sense of terror so extreme that it can then kill them and eat them.
Of course, characters can shake that off. If the bogeyman is attacked, it will revert to its proper form, and then beat a hasty retreat. Please be aware that the bogeyman cannot be killed at this point, out in the woods.
But don't worry, there will be chances in the future, because if even one character makes contact with the bogeyman, it will follow them home and take residence in the Town. In the future, you'd better check your closets and under your bed, because the bogeyman might be there to try to give you a pretty solid scare.
Note: When the bogeyman has been brought back to the Town, and is outside of its haunts in the woods, it can be killed, but it will require a great deal of effort on the characters' parts; please contact us if you'd like to work with that! If the bogeyman is not killed this month, it will continue to live in the Town into next month as well.
There is only one bogeyman, but it will continue to hunt in the woods as well for those who undertake this quest -- it is not limited to just one group!
Ways to succeed: Just don't let it scare you! Which is easier said than done, yes, but confronting the bogeyman and making it flee is considered success in this quest.
Ways to fail: Please don't get eaten by the bogeyman.

Quest 14
Requirements: 20 of any color.
There always has to be one vague quest, right? Much like restoring the written word, this is a collaborative quest, and the only clue the characters have is "be positive" -- which is actually the secret to the entire quest. To succeed at this quest? Twenty characters over the course of the month will have to be incredibly, sincerely positive with each other.
Ways to succeed: Please note that this has to be sincere positivity. Faking a smile isn't going to accomplish it. That said, what's positive for one character is different to what's positive for another; Ochako's bright sparkly attitude will count, but so will, for example, Damian Wayne cracking a smile. It's up to player discretion what counts as sincerely positive for your character; you know your characters best! The number of threads does not matter, so long as 20 separate, individual characters report their particular form of positivity.
Ways to fail: Anything less than that, no sun! As stated above, faking positivity won't count, and the Town will Know. The characters must be sincerely positive if they wish to restore the sun. Time for some party games.
